As of 2017 there will be a new monthly feature on Living LeReve. I’d like to introduce Bluff City Lights. I group of four fashion and lifestyle bloggers located in the one and only bluff city, Memphis. We have all crossed paths or have worked together at some point or another and it was time to join forces. We all love Memphis and have a lot of interest in what to do, where to go and of course what to wear! We kick off our new year by collaborating with The Ivory Closet which means… a GIVEAWAY!

For our Bluff City Lights blog premier we are featuring a major trend, suede. The four of us teamed up with The Ivory Closet in Overton Square to find suede pieces that fit our style. When I was looking at the selection I was going through every piece thinking how I would style it. I loved how my outfit turned out and I love how the other girls styled their pieces as well. One of my favorite things about fashion is how styling can make all the difference. I chose this army green faux suede dress. I contemplated wearing suede thigh-high boots (too much suede), tights with pumps (too dressy) and these boyfriend jeans. It was pretty darn cold out and I needed something on my legs and in the end this dress was turned into a long top once I added the jeans. Since my “top” was long I wanted a longer jacket or sweater to wear over it, my leather jacket (which was what I originally had in mind) didn’t look as good as I was hoping. Since it was so cold outside I needed to wear closed toed shoes, I probably should have worn boots, socks would have been nice 🙂 I love these pumps though, pointy toe and a little platform (also worn here). The necklace I’m wearing came from The Ivory Closet too and I think I can wear it as a choker too which I am very excited about. How would you have styled this suede dress I’m wearing?
