Now that August is upon us it is time to start transitioning our wardrobes. The nights are getting a little cooler and summer is sadly coming to an end. Bluff City Lights teamed up with Southern Couture to showcase how we style how transitional pieces.
Suede, plaid, layers, hats and chunky necklaces are just a few stand out pieces that can be added to your summer outfit to help transition your look to fall.
All of us girls shopped at Southern Couture separately and met at our location to shoot. We had quite the laugh when 3 of the 4 of us had on extremely similar necklaces! Since these necklaces seemed to be the group favorite we decided it will be our giveaway. We are changing things up and will be selecting two winners this month! Click below to enter or click here.
I really am not ready for fall to be here, partially because I love summer so much and partially because I don’t want winter to come. I love the warmth, humidity, flowing dresses and a good tan. Transitioning to fall isn’t so bad though, we get all the great things of summer along with a slight change in fashion. Don’t get me wrong, I will be wearing flowy dresses through September but I’m also adding little bits of fall style to my current summer wardrobe. When I got the chance to pull clothes from Southern Couture I had a hard time deciding what direction to go. This suede tank can be worn in the summer with denim shorts and can easily transition to fall with a dark hat and wide leg jeans like I’ve done here. Plaid is another great style to transition your wardrobe. You could style a plaid top like Megan did or wear it wrapped around your waist or over a short dress with booties.
I’d love to know your favorite way to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall!
